Fall Seminar Series
Investment education is the foundation of SWS. Each fall, prospective members attend a 10-week seminar series that touches on the basics of finance and investing, equipping members with the skills to make their own investment recommendations. Each seminar is taught by a different professional in finance, allowing students to learn from industry leaders.
Research Analyst Program
At SWS, we believe in "learning by doing." After completing the fall seminar series, members can join the research analyst program where they work in industry teams to analyze companies and pitch stocks. Students will pitch 3 stocks throughout the semester to our Investment Board, who make real-life investments in our portfolio.
Investment board
Each SWS chapter has a real investment fund and portfolio managed by students on the Investment Board. The fund gives members an opportunity to manage real money, make investment decisions, and track the impact of these decisions. The Investment Board invests in stocks based on the recommendations of the Research Analysts.
